What is it that no Marketeer wants you to know?

What could be the cost of my ignorance?

Are you wondering if there’s something you’re missing in your business as it isn’t growing as per expectation?

Well, there is. And it’s something that most marketers don’t want you to know.

Here it is:

Marketers are not always honest with you.

They might tell you that their strategy is the best way to grow your business, but that’s not always the case. They might also tell you that you need to spend a lot of money on marketing, but that’s not always necessary.

The truth is, there are a lot of different ways to market your business. And the best way for you will depend on your specific business, your target audience, and your budget.

So don’t just take the word of a marketer. Do your own research and find out what works best for you.

So while you create a marketing strategy for your business, there are certain things that you really need to keep in mind. The same goes when you are evaluating one.

  • Is it based on data and research? A good marketing strategy should be based on data and research, not just on the marketer’s gut feeling.
  • Is it specific to your business? A good marketing strategy should be tailored to your specific business, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
  • Is it affordable? You don’t have to spend a lot of money to market your business effectively. There are many affordable marketing strategies that can be just as effective as the expensive ones.
  • If you’re not sure where to start, I recommend talking to a business coach or consultant. They can help you assess your business and develop a marketing strategy that’s right for you.
  • Here are a few other things that marketers don’t want you to know:
  • You don’t need to be on every social media platform. It’s better to focus on a few platforms where your target audience is active.
  • Content marketing is more important than paid advertising. Content marketing is a long-term strategy that can help you build trust and credibility with your audience.
  • Word-of-mouth is the best form of marketing. Encourage your customers to share their experiences with your business with their friends and family.
  • If you keep these things in mind, you can avoid the traps that marketers often set for small businesses. And you can start growing your business the right way.

Marketing is at times the most neglected function in a small and medium enterprise. With perceptions of being the “Cost Centre” or rather an expense. It is essential to understand that marketing when done right, has a potential to change the course of a business.

Brands like Cadbury in their campaign of Kuch Meetha ho Jaaye, (where in the target was to replace sweets during occasions), or Surf excel with Daag Ache hain (targeted very clearly towards stating that consumers should focus on doing what they love rather than their clothes) have used marketing effectively to drive in the message. As at the end of the day its all about what’s in it for them?
